Well Child Exams

Lake Ray Hubbard Pediatrics along with The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends yearly checkups until the year 18 to assess growth and development. At the checkup, your doctor will address any medical or behavioral problems that have occured during the year. Most children will need their vaccination records reviewed. Children going into the 7th grade are required to have a Tdap, Varicella, and Menactra Vaccine. It is now recommended that all teenagers receive a second Menactra vaccine at age 16. We also offer the HPV Vaccine to all teenage girls and boys.

If your child is involved in sports, don’t forget to bring the physical form for your doctor to sign. The sports physical is included in the well child checkup and is a great way to make sure your child is ready to play.

Nurse Advice Line

We have a nurse advice line available Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm. You may leave a brief message with regards to your questions or concerns and one of our advice nurses will return your call. After-hours phone calls will be answered by a nurse and there will be a $15/charge per call billed to the patient. The nurse advice line is staffed by a Registered Nurse and two Licensed Practical Nurses, each with extensive pediatric backgrounds.

For immediate needs and answers to common health related questions, we have added a symptom checker online. This useful tool can be used to answer general questions about common health related problems your child may be experiencing.
